-About-
My name is Josiah DeFord.
I am a CFA Charterholder and currently serve as a Chief Investment Officer for Kisher Capital.
My approach is grounded in applying financial concepts in real-world decision-making and translating that into structured exam preparation.
In addition, I have over a decade of experience teaching and coaching in math and music. That experience shapes how I break down complex ideas, identify patterns in mistakes, and help others improve through structured practice.
I provide independent CFA exam tutoring focused on practice questions, mock exam review, and targeted problem-solving.
My approach is grounded in a simple idea: most candidates do not need more content—they need to improve how they apply what they already know. Sessions focus on identifying mistakes, reinforcing key concepts, and developing a more effective approach to working through questions.
I have recent experience working with electronic testing formats and am familiar with the structure and pacing of computer-based exams.
I focus on helping candidates:
Understand why they are getting questions wrong
Strengthen weak and high-weight topics
Develop more efficient study and test-taking strategies
This service is best suited for:
CFA Level I, Level II, or Level III candidates
Retakers looking to improve performance
Working professionals with limited study time
